Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, bloggers, and readers to gather once a week and share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!). Check out all the other awesome snippets by clicking on the picture above.
This snippet picks up from last week’s, from my still unnamed FF vampire novel. It’s also extremely raw (as in I’m pretty much writing this for Rainbow Snippet posts until I get the first draft of a different novel finished) so never mind any head-hopping you’ll see in any snippets.
Sam sighed in frustration as she stared at her closet. She really had nothing suitable to wear to a place like Evernight – or any other club in any city in the world. She glanced at her watch and sighed again. It was probably too late to go anyhow; she’d had to work late and it was four o’clock in the morning.
On a brighter note, she’d bargained for the next day off in exchange for working the extra hours. She could sleep, then go shopping.
She frowned as she stripped and headed to the shower. Where did people buy clothes for clubbing, anyhow?
Good question…
“Evernight?” Love it!
Know that feeling. My closet definitely lacks “clubbing” vibes.
