Rainbow Snippet for 1-15-2022

Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, bloggers, and readers to gather once a week and share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).  Check out all the other awesome snippets by clicking on the picture above.

This snippet picks up from last week’s, from my still unnamed FF vampire novel.

The mall had long since closed and the parking lot was nearly empty by the time Sam turned the truck down the row the car with the flat tire was in. Seeing it, she let out a low whistle and checked the work order again. Apparently someone at dispatch didn’t know cars, because a Bugatti was not a “Bug.” Blue eyes swept across the sleek lines and she sincerely hoped she wasn’t drooling as she parked next to it.

Then the car’s door opened, and all thoughts of the vehicle vanished as she saw the driver.

  1. Oh, my…quite the first impression! (heart)

  2. I’d be drooling over a Bugatti too

  3. No one could blame her for drooling!

  4. Quite the mix-up to confuse a bug with a Bugatti. I’d be double-checking, too.
