Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, bloggers, and readers to gather once a week and share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).  Check out all the other awesome snippets by clicking on the picture above.

More from Onyx Sun, picking up from last week. (If you missed it and are curious, just click on the date on the calendar.)

“I’m glad to have you as one, too,” he replied. “Just promise me one thing.”

“What’s that?”

It’s a blessing to have a good friend.
This is a well-written scene and I enjoyed reading it. Platonic friendships tend to be pushed aside in favor of romance a lot of the time, so it’s always a pleasure to find strong literary friendships.

  3. Sweet scene…love the comment about lists of lists. :)

  4. “Never mind. Of course you have a list. You even keep lists of lists.” – THat’s a great bit of characterization

  5. Really loving the friendship between these two. Kinda anxious something bad is going to happen to him, though. Hope not.
