Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, bloggers, and readers to gather once a week and share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).   Check out all the other awesome snippets by clicking on the picture above.

I’m posting excerpts from Doll, a little F/f BDSM story that I started back in January of 2014. It’s kind of a UFO (UnFinished Object) that is sort of turning back into a WiP. We’ll see.

Picking up from last week, and Doll’s memory/flashback to her meeting with the woman with the boots and bullwhip.

I didn’t intend to look for her when I left the coat room, but I couldn’t seem to help myself.

She sat alone at a corner table, and I studied her from the corner of my eye as I made my way to the bar, taking in details I had missed earlier: dark hair in a French braid, fair skin, understated make up. She was taller than I was, but the clothes she wore made her seem soft, somehow, but that softness was at odds with the air of command that radiated from her.

I sighed as I took a seat at the bar, and Victor raised an eyebrow.

“Who is she?”

He shook his head. “No, Babs. You don’t want to get mixed up with her.”

“Victor…”I wasn’t sure which was irritating me more: Victor calling me “Babs” or telling me what to do.

  1. Hmm, I wonder what Victor has against her?

I really want to know more about this mysterious woman :)

  5. Now it’s getting interesting. And I like the dichotomy between her aura and dress.
