Picking up from last week’ snippet of Onyx Sun, Taliya has just entered Luzita’s cabin.
Luzita stared at her. “Taliya?”
“I cannot believe I found you,” Taliya said softly, suddenly finding it hard to breathe as memories choked out her air.
“I can’t believe you found me either.”
Taliya nearly flinched at the bitter tone of Luzita’s voice.
“Luz? It’s all right. You’re safe now.”
“Why? Why did you track me down and buy me? So you could gloat?”
“Gloat?”
