Picking up from last week’ snippet of Onyx Sun.
Taliya pressed the buzzer on the door, trying to recover her original excitement at having found Luzita, but she was finding it difficult to summon any enthusiasm for this reunion.
And what little enthusiasm she had managed to find vanished when she heard Luzita’s voice.
“Go away and leave me alone. I told you I don’t need anything and if I did I don’t want it from you.”
Anger flared and Taliya took a deep breath to get a grip on her temper before she opened the door and stepped through it, letting it close behind her.
