Happiness Is…

… a new notebook.

I got happy mail yesterday: a traveler’s notebook that I’m going to use for writing related stuff.  (Like working on an outline for July’s Camp NaNoWriMo.)  (Yes, I am planning for it already.)  I used up a few of the billion pages of scrap paper that I have stockpiled to make some inserts for it and I can’t wait to get started using it.  (I didn’t want to use the pretty inserts for stuff that I’m just going to either type up or copy into something else.  I’ll save them for permanent stuff.)

TN writing outside

TN writing inside

(See why I thought it was perfect?  I would like more elastics to hold inserts but I think I can add them without too much trouble.  It has a loop to hold a pen, too.  Like I said: perfect!)

In other happy news, I did get a little writing done.  I’m not sure the scene will stay in the final draft, but, hey, it was writing!

And in even more happy news, “Paper Arrows,” the flash fiction piece I entered for the Queer Sci Fi contest will be included in the anthology.  I’ll post more details as they become available.

So, all in all, it’s been a good week so far.  Not necessarily a productive one, but a happy one.

And isn’t that more important?
