Camp Update

How can I be this tired when it’s only the 8th?

Oh, yeah, I only got about four hours of sleep last night because my face felt like it was going to explode this morning. (Crazy weather is playing havoc with my sinuses.)

I had a great idea for the flash fiction contest that I want to enter. Unfortunately as I started working on it, it… grew. I don’t think I can do it in 300 words so it’s back to the drawing board.  Or plot bunny breeding barn, whichever.

As for Camp.  *sigh* I’m more or less holding onto par, but that’s going to slip away over the weekend. (I didn’t get the cushion built up that I wanted to – courtesy of sinuses and sinus headaches.)

And other reason for the *sigh* is that I’m pretty sure I’m heading into more headaches when I edit this thing in a couple months.  (I don’t think prologues are supposed to be 10,000 words in length…)

And somehow a minor character has taken on far too much importance…

And then there’s the fact that my timeline may be biting the dust because one character now knows something that I didn’t want known just yet. (Actually, I think he may know two things that I didn’t want known just yet.)

And then there’s the fact that someone I was planning to have killed managed to get others to take pity on him and protect him.  (Well, okay. I don’t think it was pity so much as the fact that they needed more information from him and needed him alive in order to get it.)

Oh, let’s not forget the 11th hour alternate version of things…

*sigh*

I’ve written just under 12k words and have 100k worth of problems.

Welcome to NaNoWriMo…

  1. *Chuckles* Someone needs to try scaring your characters straight with a whip perhaps…

  2. Any progress is progress. 🙂

  3. Wowza! I think I need headache meds just reading all that. *falls over dizzy*
