Sunday Excerpt — September 21, 2014

More from Sanguine, a science fiction novel with elements of semi-paranormal M/M romance.

Picking from last week.   (There may or may not be some creative punctuation involved.)

“Mira?  What’s going on?” Gregor asked.

Mirela’s gaze never wavered from Gavril’s.   “Ask him,” she said, a challenge in her voice.

Gavril started toward her but Constin stepped between them.   “Gregor, take Mira inside.”

“Come on, Mira.”

Gregor gently turned her toward the castle but she jerked free of him. “No,” she said sharply.  She turned to face Gavril as she drew her dagger.  “I told you before I will not marry him:  I will not be a Blood Whore, nor will I betray my Blood.”
